Money-changers!

Yes, Jesus did overturn the tables of the money-changers, and one has to ask why was our Lord so upset with those who had coined the market! There has to be some significance in what Jesus did as it was the only time when the Lord had shown any anger. The money and interest (usury) was Israel's God, with a totally different kind of profit in mind! As for the 666 it does relate to gold in the OT, although there are some other perhaps more obscure references as well. Part of our faith in Jesus is to try and understand his life and works, as well as placing our trust in him for all our needs, and that also means receiving the wisdom to understand Christ's message through the book of Revelation. We need to understand what Christ's message is to us in these last days because that's what he wants so we can be ready to withstand false prophets/Christ's. Faith and reason goes together, and it's impossible to gain a right understanding of God's word without that approach. Jesus is the reason for our faith, Jesus is the assurance of things hoped for, and the certainty of those things which still remain unseen i.e.the Kingdom of God on earth. There are powerful people in the world who can change truths into a lies, and lies into truths..wouln't place my trust in the money-changers as they are no different today as they were of yesteryear..ummm!
