I have lost the four people who meant the most to me at 53, my mother, father, oldest brother and most recently, this past sunday, my beloved husband. I always though of 53 as a bad number, after having read how significant the number is to religion and spiritual life, I now understand it is not a bad number but a magical number.
I don't know if they were believers those four loved ones ... but 53 is the number of Paradise. Garden in Hebrew is Gan, Gimmel-Nun, with the value of 50-3, together 53. Gan (53), Garden, Garden of Eden, Paradise are therefore a metaphore for Heaven. Remember the beautiful Tears from Heaven of Eric Clapton, after his little son fell from the 53rd floor of their appartment.

A few days ago I saw a license plate that read BHAWK53. I love hawks & Native American teachings & Hebrew numerology. Yes, I instantly looked up 53 in my old Hebrew book and 'garden' was the equivalent that stood out the most though your word PARADISE sounds even better. Brace yourselves because believe it or not just today I watched on TV Jean Houston quote the beautiful poet RUMI, "For every garden out there, there are 70,000 gardens within." How amazing is that?! Also, Hawk is believed to be, in many Native American teachings, the messenger for/from Great Spirit [GOD]. I am hoping that WE here who have mysteriously come across the 53, will in fact dare to dream and create our beautiful visions/gardens/paradises with LOVE & GREAT COMPASSION for all others in this world. Our healing begins when WE reach out and do our best to ease any suffering on this incredible planet we call Earth which my friend is our HOME. We ALL need to MATTER!!!!!!!
