Clearlight is right - associating Lucifer with Satan was the biggest theological translation blunder ever. St.Jerome , when translating the bible from Greek to Latin made this mistake, and it was not corrected till the 20th century. The phrase "Oh Lucifer, how you have fallen from the heavens" in the bible was refering to Venus, the morning & evening star, not Satan. Lucifer is related to Lucent, Lucid, Lumeiescent, Bringer of Light - whereas Satan has to do with Deceit, betrayal, shadows, obscure, distortion.
Lucifer is related to the Promethean spirit of rebellion agsinst tyrants, oppressive authority. The oppressive powers of the ancient church dispised the Prometean spirit, and thus by keeping the mistake in the bible could make rebellion (Lucifer) an act of evil influence. Several new versions of the bible have already corrected this blunder. Do not give Satan a chance to equate himself with justified rebellion, do not associate him with Lucifer any more.
Lucifer was the name of an anointed cherub, an angel of God. This angel commited sin and he was removed by force (sacked) from God's throne. During his fall tranformation occured which resulted into or acquired the name Satan, the devil! Thus there is a close relationship between Lucifer and Satan. The Greek translation quoted is very correct. Any ditortation as it is being proposed is the Satan's plans to distort the truth. Be careful of deceit coming up these days, reducing the truth of scriptures. That is part of Satan's work today.

Lucifer is Lucifera Diana Venus the Roman Moongoddess which was first Lucifer the angel Aka Gods daughter before she was recreated on earth to help create Eve from Adams rib.Luckfer is not Satan.Satan is Michael which was her boyfriend the Sunking Angel of Fire.Lucifera Diana is the same person as Lucifer and Venus.They are one and not seperate They were only seperate in that she was spiritual became physical and spiritual again.Venus Lucifer is in captivity under Michael which took her from heaven and gave her his bad name.Lucifer is the half sister of Jesus to be exact.Michael is Satan and his earth son serpent concieved from Eve because Adam was barren was Kain which killed Abel.Kains son Mammon is Satan Michaels grandson and thus Little Nicky.So grandpa pa and grandson devils Three unity.Any questions?But Venus does and did exist.But shes definately not Satan.Shes Lucifera which is under Michaels control.Michael rules Hell Earth Middle Earth and Sun torture degree steps.
