Whoa Benjamin,
I think everyone knows what virgin means, except maybe you. Mary could possibly have lost her virginity BEFORE she conceived another child, and certainly virginity has nothing to do with "giving birth". Calling her "The Virgin Mary" is equivalent to saying her name, for some people, such as Mary, the Mother of Jesus or Mary, the Wife of Joseph the carpenter. I think for someone as well read as yourself and all knowing and being that you are a Jew, you seem to lack humility and compassion for other people and their beliefs. I think we all realize that King James and many others before and after have had less than pure intentions. By the way your use of the word hypocritical here makes no sense. The definition of hypocritical is a person who PRETENDS to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, ESPECIALLY, a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
Also, aren't you are getting a little too serious for a site about symbolism? It seems that you have some resentments that YOU need to deal with instead of judging others.
P.S. Not to get too PC but using the word retarded has always been a word used to belittle others and often used by 8 year old children. It doesn't seem to be a word that someone as spiritual as you are would be using. Just something to think about!

Your application of common sense to religion and expect a logical
outcome, puts you on shaky ground. I concur.
