Symbolism

• Symbol of Nothing, the Empty Absolute, of not-expressed, of the Chaos, of which whole has exited. It is the closed original egg.

• Mean the undetermined being, or again the Not-Being.

• Symbolize the potential or latent ideas, not yet expressed but which exist in virtual way, waiting only a divine intervention to exit the nothing and to emerge in the creation.

• Represent the origin of all thing and at the same time the limit to reach, the starting point and the point of arrival of a cycle - illustrating the paradoxical identity of the non-being and the plenitude to be it, according to Abellio. This perpetual to and from generates vibrations - being able to represent the Song of the Verb - that make emerge Creation.

• Perfect number, expressing the totality, therefore the universe, according to the Low Mesopotamia.

• Valueless numerical sign by itself, but holding the place of absent values in the numbers. Only by its position, it confers to others more value, the zero multiplying by 10 the numbers placed at its left. It symbolizes then the person who has value only by delegation.

• The zero indicates the plan of realizations.

• By its form of notation which is circular, the zero is considered as a symbol of unity and also of eternity.

• Symbol of the beginning.

General

• The zero is never used in the Bible.

• In Egypt, no hieroglyph corresponds to it.

• For the Mayas, the zero is represented by the spiral, the opened infinity by the closed infinity.

• According to some superstitious beliefs, to avert the inflammation of intestine, one suggests to write three zeroes on the belly of the person with a "blue stone" .

• The mathematical equations with one or more unknown factors are solved by equalizing them to zero.

• In mathematics, zero multiplied by the infinity gives the unit.

• The major Mystery of the Tarot named Mat has no number. One attributes it often the twenty-second place, but it could be the zero.
