Symbolism

It is amongst other things the sigificance of the "principle of differentiation, 2, being added to the initial differentiation of the Cosmos 20 to subdivide the parts and to generate, by this means, the complex mechanism of the nature - 2 + 2 = 4. (...) With 22, we see the play of the opposite particular initiative - 22 = 11 x 2 -, to balance in the natural mechanism".

• Symbolizes the end of a cycle, and for the man, the end of the obligatory reincarnations on the earth.

Bible

• The 22 chapters of the Revelation of John, totaling 405 verses. This current distribution in 22 chapters originates from Stephen Langton, used since the 13th century, as for all the remainder of the New Testament. Let us note that the Revelation book has also on the whole 405 numbers written in their ordinal or cardinal form: 136 cardinal numbers greater than 1, 59 ordinal numbers greater than 1, 193 times the number 1 in the cardinal form and 17 times the number 1 in the ordinal form.

• Before to die, Jesus exclaimed "Eli Eli lama sabactani" which is the beginning of the psalm 22.

• The alphabetical psalms of which the poetries (Ps 111 and 112), stanzas (Ps 37 and 119) or verses (Ps 145), are indicated by each of the twenty-two Hebraic letters.

• It is the number of letters of the alphabet that we find in the Pentateuch.

• The chronology of the Patriarchs, from Adam to Jacob, includes 22 names.

• The duration of the reign of Jeroboam was twenty-two years. (1 K 14,20)

General

• The 22 elements by which God created the world.

• At his Ascension, by twenty-two times Jesus blesses the creation.

• The Word of God is at the 22th level of conscience. The cosmic conscience would subdivide indeed into 24 dimensional or spiritual levels. The maximal conscience level, the 24th, would be attributable only to the God-Father and the 23th level would be considered as being an energy protective area surrounding the level 24. The 22th level of conscience would be also that of the antique Elohim also named the 24 Ancients.

• Twenty-two is the number of biblical books of the Old Testament - Hebrews and Protestants. This number is obtained by counting for only one book the twelve minor prophets, as well as the Judges, the Kings, Ezra, the Chronicles (each one being generally divided into two books). It is also necessary to integrate Ruth with the Judges and the Lamentations with Jeremiah. And it is thanks to this last restriction that we obtain finally 22 instead of 24. Flavius Joseph (Against Apion, I, 8, 1st s.) is the first one to have proposed a distribution in 22 books.

• The Mezuzah contains fifteen verses of the last book the Old Testament, the Deuteronomy, VI, 4-9 and XI, 13-21, for a total of 170 words, always written in 22 lines. This small roll is inserted in a tube of wood or metal and is attached to the superior right side on the frame of a door, according to the commandment of the Bible: "And you will write them on the frame of the door of your house" .

• The 22 chapters of the Vendidad, book of the Avesta, written by Zarathustra.

• The 22 prayers ("Yeshts") of the "Khorda-Avesta".

• The Chronos god was surrounded by 22 main assistants and 22 secondary, according to the Phoenician Sanchoniaton.

Each one of these 22 bodies is formed of 1296 "partitions" that they call circumferences, vibrating each one at a precise frequency. This number 1296 is called "Energizing number", since it is the product of 12 (Cosmic number) and 108 (Universal number). By multiplying 22 by 1296, they obtain the total number of 28512 circumferences composing the 22 evolutionary bodies of the man, that is according to them the number of the man and also that of Infinite Energy.

• The shout of alert "22!" was used by the typographers warning thus the arrival of the chief of workshop. The number is obtained by addition of the numerical value of each letter of the French word "chef" (chief) according to their position in the Latin alphabet: C=3, H=8, E=5 and F=6.

• The number 22 is used 13 times in the Bible.

• The book of the Leviticus of the OT uses on the whole 22 different numbers, of which the higher is 10000 (Lv 26,8).

• The number 400 is used 22 times in the Bible.

• The word universe is used 22 times in the OT and the words balances, marriage, day and creation, 22 times in the Bible.

far as i can remember i have always seen the number 22. my birthday is 10/22.i was born at 10:10. everyday and everywhere i go i see the number 22 or 55, in a way if 22 is put beside a mirror it would be 55. with it being said that 22 is a spiritual number i do believe it is. i have visions of spirits have ever since i was a child. i hear voices of people not there. i work in a place that has motion detectors to keep the lights on, i go by the lights go off at times. i see 3 shadows that follow me one on each side and one behind. but lately i been seeing a white shadow like someone dressed in a white gown. i have so much that has happened that i dont have enough time to type it all. if anyone could tell me about any of this or want to talk about it or comments about it email me. the number 22 is also my lucky number, when i use it things are good. even in bad times. and the things i have read you have typed i too have experienced.

I've been seen seeing the number 22 for about three years now, and I have no clue what it means. Both my dogs were born on the 22nd, one in October and one in December, its just weird. Then one of my house numbers was 22. The house im in now has 22 in it. Checks from restaurants end up coming out to be 22 sometimes. This lady who made our cakes died on the 22nd of January. I see it pretty much everywhere I go. It just really bothers me, I dont know what it means or even if it really means anything. Half the time I feel like Im going crazy, but now I see Im not the only one who has this problem...even if its a not problem at all. I would just like some answers.

Our Sons Death, what was he trying to tell us

Long story short my son was 2 when he was diagnoised with Kidney Disease.
After a 20 year battle he chose no more treatment at the age of 22. In high school his basketball jersey was #22, He died September 22,2009 at 2200 hours (10 pm)
(Oh my goodness, I just noticed the entry above mine)
I can only speak for myself, I have no regrets for how this all went down, as Im very honored to have been his mother.
I do know my husband and I would like to know as much as we can about the #22. Please help us understand.

For the longet time like two years or longer I would wake up for no reason and the clock would be 4:22. My mom died Sept. 16, 2008 at 4:22 a.m. I was with her when she took her last breath. We were very close and I took her leaving very hard. We had many talks before she died and she had promised me that she would come to me some how and some way and that she would let me know that its her. Sence then everytime I look at the clock it's 22 past the hour. I am some what bothered by this. I am a spiratual person and I have had many preminitions in my life,I feel that I am some what gifted. I beleive in God and feel like I have this perpose, this things that I'm supp. to be doing but just don't know what. I have thought about going to a pastor some where and seeing if he can hlp me figure all this out

i always see the number 22. everyday. some days more than others but. definitely i see it every day. sometimes i used to get mad. like wtf why do i always see this number! and what does it freakin mean. but, it's kind of comforting now. the number 22 means a lot of things. it means differentiate. which basically means different. which, i know i am. so, i believe as long as i keep seeing it, it's gonna be a good life.

I'm a writer and aspiring film-maker who is very spiritual, but not religous. i see 22 everytime i look at a timer of any type especially on a movie (dvd) timer or while music is playing. i'm curious to know the simularities between everyone who posted here. Also, have you taken a numerology report? i took one and my name turned out to equal 11/2 which was weird also.

yes, I been seeing 22 since forever, my b-day is 10/22... i see 10:22 on the clock just about everyday, i see the number all....... the time.
Ive had my name done using numerolgy...which just happens to be Theo (in Greek means God) its wierd but Ive gotten use to it. I was told great things are waiting for me, not going to happen, but are already in place and are waiting and i just have to do what i need to do on my end to see it.

Did you read my post? I know your not religious, and I dont understand at all the number 22 either, but for some reason, alot of times 22 pops up it always has religion behind it. It seems like a sign that God has been trying to reach me, by sending me this number. Did you read everything written on this site about the bible and number 22, I am not very religious myself, I dont even have a religion, I havent had a church myself, but something keeps telling me I need to go, I dont know why, I see 22 everywhere, please respond

I keep seeing 11 and 22, mostly 22 since the February. I never paid much attention to the numbers, don't even have a lucky number, but this 22 is like, nagging.
I am getting bothered by this because I don't know what those double numbers are trying to tell me, if anything, and nobody seems to know.

Few examples of 22 ocuring: I take a train at 10.22 and arrive at my destination hostal with the street number 22 that charges me 22 E per night. When I look at watch it's 20.11, or 22.22, or 11.22, etc, etc. When I opened a numerology book (a desperate buy) it opened on the page explaining the 22!

The last, 22nd letter of the Ancient Hebrew alphabet is "Tav", which was drawn in the old script as x or + and denotes a mark, sign, or cross.

Yesterday I had a weird dream. I had no idea of the number 22 but I did know about the maya proficy but not the exact day.

So my dream. I was walking with a companion, someone I never met befor when suddlenly I looked up at the sky and I saw the number 22 made up by stars. Well spread out stars made the number 22. In my dream I was amazed when suddlenly the stars started to come together until the 22 started to dissapear. The 2 and the 2 started to come together as two clusters. The two go together until they collided making a explotion of stars. The stars then came rushing to earth and it was like a bombarment of stars crashing around me and everywhere accompanied by rain.There was so much rain that a flood started to grow around me and I saw people beging drag by this flood. I seeked shelter but it was almost as a loosing battle. I didn't get dragged but in my dream I knew it was going to happen.
Is a weird dream because I maybe remember 3 dreams per year and this was so vivid and the number 22 I was suspicious of and I looked it up on line. Anyways thought I share.

My encounters with the # 22

I work retail and so 22 ends up being the customers change quite often, so I do see it alot, but never thought much the number, until one night.

I was closing down the two registers, and the change in the deposit for each was $.22. Then I had to add some change to the deposit, which made the total deposit's change to be $2.22. It immediately caught my attention and I told the associate who was closing with me about it.

I also told her how I will see certain numbers at times. Then jokingly as I looked at the time, I said to her "I bet we leave the store at 9:22."
Sure enough, it was 9:22 and we were locking up.

And It was JUNE 22nd!
I told her that I had to play the Lotto.
So I drove to the gas station and proceeded to buy a few tickets.
One of my Quick Pick tickets had the #22.
The next day. all I one was $3. So I felt that there must be something else in store for me.

AND I THINK I'VE FOUND IT :
I've been looking for a house to rent. I have 2 children and have been looking at two bedroom houses, but needed a 3BR.
And everytime I think I've found the perfect place, something happens, and I've felt very discouraged.
And then the other day after leaving work, I drive past a house that I've driven past many times. It had a FOR RENT sign.
I let a few days pass, because I assume it's out of my price range, because of the neighborhood. So Monday night, after I left work, I stopped to write down the phone number, and I look up and see that the address is 22!
I called the next day, went to see it, and today, 2 days later, I am told I can have it! Its a 3 BR w/ Garage and I can afford it!! And I'm going to start painting on Saturday Aug 22, exactly 2 months later !Thank you God, because I prayed to him last night.
And I continue to see the #22.

I am an sort of budding Numerologist and I believe in angels. and they speak to you in many different ways. 22 is the number of the master builder and 222 in succession means YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH. I myself have been experiencing this. and while it may be spooky to some of you. trust me, take it as a good sign. and soon you'll see why.

I am glad I am not along with the # 22. Since I was a child the number 22 is with me. My mother and I age difference is 22 years. One trip to Europe, I traveled on the 22th all my plane,train bus seat was # 22. After I graduate from college my first interview was on the 22nd. I started my job on a 22nd and to go to my job I had to take exit 22.
All main events in my life happen with the #22.

WHAT IS IT WITH 22 ???!!?

Is there something going on and we are (supposed to be) a part of it? How can we, if we don't understand it?

I did the exact same thing and looked up other numbers and 11 and 22 are the only ones that seem to be catching attention across the board. I like to think that we are somehow special and that paying attention to 22 is a key to something. Perhaps if the world ends on 12/21/2012 (according to the Mayan Indians) then maybe on the 22nd is when we learn the truth. I don't know, thats the best i got..

Hey guy's
I'm finaly glad to hear it's not just me seeing this magic number all the time. I was born on 1/22 and all my adult life I seam to have a 6th sense to always look at a clock when there's a 22 on it. It's gotten so bad that it's even freaky. I feel like someone or something is trying to tell us something but how do we find out?

well i posted a while ago....and im still seeing 22 like normal. but recently Ive notice something...

my b-day is 10-22...... and the crazy thing about it, my mother had me.... on that 22nd day...and she was 22 years old.
its crazy how much stuff i see involving 22. Me and my wife went to vegas, im standing at the roulette table whiching a go play.... and i call all the next 5 numbers.... which happen to be... 5....22....5...22...5 all in that order. Didnt have no money to play but im pretty sure if i had put something on 22, the number would had change.

theres got to be some answers for this.... maybe something is coming

I have been seeing 22 since early OCT, my birth month. EVERYDAY, i see 22 on tv, on jersey shirt, ANYTHING/ Even nbr 11 lately, starts popping up. AS well as nbr 8. i walked by a neighbor house that showed 822. That made me look at this house, only that house. I didnt bother looking at any homes except that one. I got married on 8-8-08.

I got scared back in Jan. Also my anniversary of first date was on Jan 22. We celebrate it monthly.

I pray and ask God whenever i can, i always say God is my driver, whether i drive or whatever im doing.

I know deep in my bones that its going to be for the greater GOOD. I know pretty much how God functions. Theres no reason to continue showing that nbr to instill fear.

Also The endtime is at Dec 12 or 21st of 2012. See the 2..and 2 on both end of the year of endtime.

Also it lands on the Zodiac of Libra of that year, thats my birthsign. JUST is what God plans for all of us, now has been harvesting his people before heaven and hell opens up. I ve had premonitions of seeing drama in the sky. Recurring dreams, it ceased for 8 yrs. Then it re-emerged again. I ve seen catastrophic events, even my future cabin perched on top of Valley overseeing many homes near shoreline, washed over. NOT touching my home but 10 feet! As if it was being renewed.

USA is going to divide into 3 parts, somebody immediate in my family had that vision. Also my aunt and her daughter had the same dream of seeing Flood of Blood washing down on main street in SLC, an indication of SLC will be gone by the breaking apart of USA. That will become a new shoreline intween Utah and NV. I have more. Anyone that wants to correspond, im here. Lets all get together and try to concieve of its meaning. I m so glad that im not alone. I thought i was for a over 6 months now.

Im shocked to see this page. I didnt even expect it.

I found a baby possum on road that rose up from laying next to its 6 siblings and a mother, dead. This Probie McGee, we named was laying too. I thought it was dead, but it wasnt, and that was on the 22nd evening.

I found her a home, whereas LA Animal shelter said over the fone that they put them down. I also inquired Pasadena Shelter, they dont guarantee, so i refused to take Probie to death shelters. But God had guided us to a private home where they take in exotic animals and care for them. I was soo happy to see that she gets a better life than i could ever provide for.

Anybody??? Lets talk! we should set up a chatroom for those that see 11, 22 and 8. I think my numerology name totals to 8. I gotta count, Also my SSN too. I was dead for 8 minutes when i was a month old, dropped by a young girl. LOng story. Also this one includes the theory of "Walk in".
Also my name totals in the first 3 names is 6, 6, 6, then adds up to 18=9, final nbr. Now being married, it again has 6 letters. So i kept my last name, 6+6+6+6=24=6. Eerie. I know it doesnt indicate 22. But look at this. break up the 6 in 3 ways, 2+2+2=6. My fave # is 3.

I lost my sister of 57 yrs old, named Faith, last Jan 11th of this year.

Im from a tribe of 13. I had 12 siblings. Now thats down to 11 of us. Also my fathers birthday is April 11th. His fave nbr is 11 and 13. I also lost a sister named Hope, when i was 10 yr old.

Also im starting to notice nbr 27/ its popping up more and more. I had a broken femur back in 94. That happened on Aug 27, i had 27 staples at the age of 27. Thats a total of 9. Its pretty significant for nbr 9, final nbr.

I just woke up and googled "numerology and 10:22" and found this posting. Ever since I was in high school EVERY time I looked at a clock it was 10:22. I got chills tonight, same thing. I cant' believe you all are on this posting

I HAVE HAD THE SAME EXPERIANCE FOR ABOUT THE LAST 5 TO 6 MONTHS. I HAD A FEW THINGS HAPPEN TO ME SOME GOOD SOME BAD AND SOME HOW THE NUMBER 22 ALLWAYS THERE. THE CLOCK IS THE MOST FREQENT THAT I SEE 22, NOT SURE WHAT IT MEANS BUT, I AM GLAD OTHER PEOPLE ARE SEEING THE SAME THING.

For the past 10 years the number 22 has followed me everywhere I've gone. At least three or 4 times a day when I look at a clock it is at a :22. I've been freaked out by this number for a long time. I've been trying to understand the reasons I gravitate towards this number.

whenever i am concentrating on something that means a lot to me, i look at the clock and it always has the number 22 in it. whenever i watch t.v. whatever i am watching whether it is a commercial or program somebody is wearing a jersey and the number on it is always 22. at school there is a counter by my desk and the number 22 is written on it. and sometimes i look at the clock and it is 10:38 which means 22 minutes till 11. is this a good or bad thing?

wow for the past month my friend and I see the number 22 everywhere it started on 2/22 @2:22am n 2:22pm..some weird stuff but things keep poppin up all over the place as 22..clocks anything u can think of involving a number is always 22.

the number, i see everywhere i go everytime i look at the clock 22 after usually i see 1222 222 when it first started i woke up in the middle of the night for no reason, i looked at the clock 1222 then i woke up again 122 then 222 then 322. I want to know what it means, its showing up more and more and i actually think god is trying to send me a message. who else could be making this happen. please someone write back.

I was always told i was gona be someone different, but fast foward to now.. i see 10:22am EVERYDAY, my birth is next week, 10/22. I went to the casino's last weekend All i saw was 22...22...10...22
i have 11 in my social # 11+11 22.... my names Theo, meaning God in Greek.... im just at a lost of words, theres more but i can only remember current things. this morning i told my wife i wanted to get a tattoe for my b-day....but didnt kno what, so then i stated ill just get a 22 or something... i later check a web-site that im a member of and i had 22 hits to my page from yesterday. so that lead me to search more on the number. I've had my number read (numerology) 2-3 times before and was told a lot. I dont know, its just weird and im trying to get some type of understanding to it.

Iwas born 3/22. My husband was born 4/22. Before we were married we were saperated for 22 years. We were married on 8/22 and our frist grandchild was born 2/27. Is this a good thing. All has been pretty good in our life. Next August we will of been married 22 years.

My son died Dec.22,his son was born on May 22, my son had only 22 dollars in his wallet when he died, and the number's totalled together where he was found equaled 22, he had the number 22 on his DL and his SS#s,also 2 of the numbers where he was going for medical treatment had the #22 in them, and the last receipt he had the clinic was for 22 dollars. What do you make of that?

According to Ed Vallowe, author of Biblical Mathematics: Keys to Scripture Numerics, 22 symbolizes "light".

You can look at it as your son going to live in the light and presence of God.

It must be tough to lose a son at 22. Hopefully you are not bitter but rather that you have come to terms with such a tragic loss.

Maybe you need to "lighten" your own burden of grief and let the Lord take it off your shoulders?
