Is there a link between 34 and christianity?

I have always been very spiritual and have always believed that there are forces out there greater than ourselves and the number 34 has only strengthened those beliefs and, in my opinion, proven those beliefs to be true. There is no question that there is a higher power communicating with each of us, but my question is Who and Why are they doing it? I have always been skeptical about God, the bible, and christianity in general. I have never been able to fully commit to something that was written by men for them to add and take away from it as they see fit. And I have never been one to go on faith and believe in something that I cannot see with my own eyes. I have been baptized twice, gotten saved, went to church on numerous occations, prayed feverously, and had even commited myself to reading the bible from beginning to end. But none of it has ever stuck. With that being said, I do pray during my times of need, and (probably since christianity is all that I know) I do believe in the possibility that God exists more than any other God out there. I am not atheist and I know what the difference between good and bad is and I live my life by the simple rule that everything bad that you do comes back to bite you in the rear in some way or another. I have always asked God to show me a sign that he is real. A sign that once I saw I could never mistake it to mean anything else. Could the number 34 be the sign that I have been asking for? And what are we, the chosen few to be blessed with what I will call 'a higher presence', meant to do with our extra knowledge? I believe that there is a reason that we all keep seeing this number.
