Though I disagree on one point; the stick of Ephraim can't represent the Gentile Christians because of the prophecies concerning the return "from Assyria and the islands of the sea" of the house of Israel. It clearly points out that there will be a future return event which will bring about the uniting of the two peoples. Due to time and intermarrying however, it could be that by that time Israel will constitute most of the Gentile world!

This study has explained things more clearly than most I have read. There is a passage in Luke11 that has intrigued me for for the passed 22 yrs. The foreshadows to the Queen of the South brings to light many of the foreshadowed scenarios of the Old Testament that involve Good and Evil and the woman as the savior, namely, Jael in Judges 4, The Woman who wisely saves Israel by throwing Sheba's head over the wall, and of course the whole book of Esther, where Esther is teh main player in successfully outmanuevers Haman in his attempt to annilate the whole Jewish nation. Where does this play out in the plan ofsxalvation set forth by God in the last days? It didn't happen in Jesus's generation. Jesus's prophecy about the Queen of the South seems to be for the future. Since Jesus was the physical representative of God then wouldn't she be His counterpart as the second Eve to the second Adam? My study which involves many pages of Scriptural evidence says she is. Does anyone else have any ideas about this. In the first part of the Old Testamen Israel is called the Sons of God and somewhere in the accounts of their wanderings they become the daughter. What caused the change?
