Dreams about a loved one who was murdered

My friend was murdered and I took it really hard. I began to cry out to God and I told God that I wanted to know if my friend was alright. Shortly after I had a dream and in the dream my friend was there and it was as if he was waiting to see me and when he saw he smiled and the dream ended. What stood out in the dream was his smile and the color he was wearing. He had Obama white t- shirt and a blue baseball cap. The second dream I had he was wearing a green shirt. In those dreams I remember vividly the colors of what he was wearing. Does theses dreams signify that God is showing me that my friend is alright through the colors that he is wearing.
