Number 27

Hey guys, just want to say that after reading all of these comments I feel like I have just had a little taste of the real world. All these different questions and answers are very interesting. I came here because I to have had strange moments when I think the number 27 is following me around. It all started for me the summer before 6th grade. My mom got me a new pillow case and it had the number 27 on it. School started and my locker was number 27. My locker combo had the number 27 in it. I was number 27 on the roll call for every class. For football that year I had jersey number 27. For soccer that same year I was number 27. I began to notice the number 27 in math class almost every day. And every day since then I see the number 27 at least 4 times a day. I am a senior in high school and if you do the math, just for 6 years seeing the number 27 at least 4 times a day thats 8760 times in the past 6 years. But to tell you the truth it's not some special God sent number or mystical number that will change your life, its just a number. Maybe pretend for a moment that God made the earth in 10 days. If you grew up with that in mind, you may look at the number 10 the same way you look at the number 7. I was getting agitated by the number 27 and had a little theory. What if I constantly think about the number 45, would I begin to notice that number more or the same as the number 27? What ended up happening was that I still noticed the number 27 (because it was a habit that had been going on for at least 2 strait years) and I also began to notice the number 45. Know what has happened is that I "cursed" I cursed myself (joke) and know I notice both 27 and 45 everywhere. Take two kids. Show one of them a scary movie a few times and the other not. Eventually the one you showed the scary movies will have bad dreams, be scared of the dark, "see" things, etc. Bottom line is this, they are just numbers that I have taught myself to notice more and more, its a trick that Satan is playing on your mind to get you to think of, worship, praise, follow, look for, etc., and guess what... It works. I was dragged into the number 27 and strayed from Jesus until I noticed that it wasn't helping me in any way. I would ""look"" for the number 27 whenever something good happened. That was me forcing it into my life, not God or some spirit trying to tell me something. I hope that thru my ranting that God has helped open to your eyes.
